RACE REGISTRATION RATES?

WHAT IS THE RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS?
: Race-day registration and packet pick-up
: Registration ends for Zoo Run and Roo Run

10K Run/5K Run/5K Walk
(race will proceed in this order)
: Roo Run Run: 1 Mile, 1/2 Mile, 1/4 Mile (race will proceed in this order)
: Results will be posted, pick-up your award in the Main Tent (no formal awards ceremony). Awards will NOT be mailed.
: Post-race family festivities include photo opportunity with our mascot, Henry the Lion (bring your own camera) and face painting.
: Event concludes
WHERE IS WALK-UP REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK-UP?
Friday, September 26th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-up registration ($35 runners and walkers) and per-registered race packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet Sports

WHERE IS RACE DAY REGISTRATION?
Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and end at exactly 8:45 a.m. in the Main Tent in the center of Henry Vilas Zoo. Please allow sufficient time to find parking and pick up your race packet.
THIS IS NOT A CLOSED COURSE. PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION AND BEWARE OF TRAFFIC.
The 10K Run starts at 9 a.m., the 5K Run starts at 9:10 a.m. and the 5K Walk starts a few minutes later. The race starts on Vilas Park Drive across from Vilas Park Beach.
Watch for the 10K and 5K split at the top of Woodrow Street. The 10K runners turn left onto Monroe Street and the 5K runners and walkers turn right onto Monroe Street. There will be signs and volunteers to help direct you.
There will be 1 water stop on the 5K course and 2 water stops on the 10K course.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
Please arrive early to allow time to park as space is limited.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY CLOTHING/GEAR?
Please be sure to leave all valuables in a secure place as we will not be storing items for participants during the run/walk event.
Please pay attention to the weather forecast. Be prepared for any type of weather. The race will go on rain or shine. In the event of extreme or dangerous weather, the race director has the right to alter or cancel the race to keep the participants safe. If the race is altered or cancelled, there will be NO refunds.
ARE BABY JOGGERS/STROLLERS ALLOWED?
We do allow participants to run/walk with baby joggers/strollers, but please position yourself at the back of the group and do not interfere with other runners.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Any animals other than service dogs are NOT allowed on Zoo grounds.
There will be water available at the finish line. Post-race refreshments include Capital Brewery beer. Must be 21 to drink alcohol. Fruit and other refreshments will be available in the Main Tent in the center of the Zoo.

OVERALL: Top 3 men/women
AGE GROUPS: Top 3 male/female age group winners in the following categories: 14 & Under / 15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70+
HOW DO YOU TIME THE RACE?
The 5K Run and 10K Run will be timed using on-the-bib timing chips. The 5K walk and the Roo Run are untimed events.
ARE THERE ANY REFUNDS?
There are absolutely no refunds given.
WHERE WILL THE FIRST AID/MEDICAL PERSONNEL BE LOCATED?
First aid and medical personnel will be located near the finish line area.
WILL THERE BE A COSTUME CONTEST?
Yes! Dress up as your favorite zoo animal! Prizes will be given for the top three best Zoo Run Run and Roo Run Run costumes.
